Learn to Compost – Have a Healthier Garden
Join us for free outdoor composting classes offered on the first Saturday of January, February and March. Learn how to turn kitchen waste, yard trimmings and leaves into rich, hand-made compost.
Try out the variety of composting tools and equipment. Find out how compost benefits plants, gardens and lawns.
Located at 8203 Millennium Forest, The Woodlands, TX 77381, our outdoor composting class is taught by certified, experienced Montgomery County Master Gardeners. Composting resources, problem-solving, trouble-shooting and tips are provided at each class. High-quality collapsible compost bins are available for purchase at a reduced price. Compost-related door prizes, including a new compost bin, will be raffled off.
Class begins promptly at 10 a.m. Interested residents may wish to experience the optional hands-on class segment following the composting presentation. Our informal, interactive class is packed with information and great fun. Free! No registration required.
