THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (April 26, 2018) – The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held an Incorporation Planning Session Wednesday, April 25, 2018 to discuss future governance.
At the meeting, the Township Board of Directors received and accepted a report from Matrix Consulting Group regarding the incorporation planning study and heard public comment and received questions from residents.
Matrix Consulting Group will be launching a dedicated website where questions from residents will be answered throughout this process. The study is anticipated to take approximately 12 months to complete.
“We are in the process of establishing and prioritizing challenges and solutions, gauging levels of support for specific ideas and activities, and contributing to the ongoing dialogue of our future governance structure,” Township Chairman Gordy Bunch said. “The Township Board is all about awareness, informing, educating, and enhancing the credibility of this future governance process. We want residents of The Woodlands to be involved.”
To fully engage feedback from Township residents, the Board unanimously voted at its Thursday, April 19, 2018 meeting, to have the fourth Wednesday of the month meeting at 6 p.m. strictly focused on input from residents and reports from governance consultants. The first public input session took place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018.
The next scheduled incorporation planning session is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 and the next public input-focused incorporation planning session will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018. These meetings are held at The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., The Woodlands, Texas 77381, on the same days as the Board’s regular business meetings.
