THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (June 1, 2018) – The Woodlands Township will host the annual Emergency Preparedness Event on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Township building, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. This free, family-friendly event is produced by the Township Neighborhood Watch with presenting sponsor CenterPoint Energy.
Presentations will be held throughout the event, including Hurricane Predictions for 2018 by a forecaster from the National Weather Service. Participating organizations will be available to answer resident questions about emergency preparedness in addition to providing giveaways, handouts and snacks. Attendees can also learn about volunteer opportunities in the area, find out about useful websites and apps, visit public safety vehicles and view brief emergency preparedness videos. Montgomery County Hospital District will also offer Hands-Only CPR instruction during the event.
